Our story

We set up shop in 2007 with one simple idea: cafes should be more than just a quick caffeine stop. They should be a place where friends and families come together, where brunch turns into long laughs and where the vibe is always sunny (even if the weather isn’t).

Tucked into our leafy courtyard on Argyle Street, we’ve built a little haven for locals, travellers and everyone in between. Whether you’re here for a cheeky morning coffee, a lazy outdoor lunch, or just an excuse to order pancakes and a burger (we won’t judge), you’re in the right place.

At Squeeze & Grind, we keep it fresh - literally. Our menu is packed with flavour, colour and all the things that make life a little tastier. Smoothies that actually taste like fruit, coffee that hits just right and meals that bring people back again and again.

But it’s not just about what’s on the plate. It’s the laughs between mates, the dogs snoozing under tables, the staff who remember your order and the feeling that you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

Our coffee starts with the perfect blend - Seven Miles’ Maverick. Bright, malty, and sweet, Maverick brings notes of peach, marmalade, and butterscotch, making it just as delicious as a straight-up espresso as it is cutting through milk. Crafted from a seasonally adjusted blend of Central and South American beans, it’s a rich, character-filled coffee that hits every time.
